About NetHealthLab
NetHealthLab answers one question: is your internet actually good? One tap, one score, one clear answer.
Why we built it
Most speed tests show a few large numbers and leave you to work out what they mean. Is 80 Mbps good? Why do video calls freeze when the speed looks fine? Speed is only part of the story. A connection can be fast and still feel slow if it hesitates, wobbles, or bogs down whenever someone else is using it.
NetHealthLab measures speed and responsiveness together, turns them into a score from 0 to 100, and picks the single finding that matters most, with one practical thing to try. The detailed numbers are still there for anyone who wants them.
How we approach it
- Honest about limits. A browser can’t see your Wi-Fi signal, your router or other devices on your network. Our findings say what the measurements suggest, not what they can’t prove.
- Open about the method. How it works describes every step of the check, and Understanding your results publishes the thresholds behind the score.
- Tested on real devices. During development we compared our results with established speed tests on iPhone, Android and desktop browsers, over fast Wi-Fi, weak Wi-Fi and mobile networks, and changed the method where it fell short.
- Simple to use. No account, no sign-up and no app to install.
Privacy
Your score and finding are calculated in your browser and aren’t stored on our servers. The site doesn’t set cookies, and the only analytics we use is Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn’t use cookies. Our Privacy Policy explains in detail what information is processed, including by the companies whose infrastructure we use.
Keeping it free
NetHealthLab is free to use. In the future it may be supported by advertising. If that happens, ads will be kept clearly separate from the check and its results, they won’t affect your score, and we’ll update our Privacy Policy and Your Privacy Choices before any change takes effect.
